Welcome back to Microsoft Skills for Jobs!
Are you ready to jump into the exciting world of solution development?
At this stage, you should already have basic understanding about Microsoft Azure and its services, artificial intelligence and its main principles, as well as the fundamentals of data. We've also explored collaborative development and global database solutions - we sure have covered a lot!
In this sixth course, our focus will be on building modern, highly capable solutions with Microsoft Azure. We'll explore the main principles of this exciting area, and while we won't dig deep into technical details, we'll aim for a broad understanding of the process.
Microsoft Azure is the leading platform for developing intelligent solutions using today's cutting-edge technologies. On this course, you'll get to build on everything you've learned so far during this study program.
While not a required prerequisite, having an understanding of the basic skills needed when developing Azure solutions and Microsoft C#, or other similar programming languages, will come in handy on this course. If you haven't used C# before, there is a crash course available on the very first page of this course (Azure Developer Associate)!
After the course, you will have a clear understanding of the tools Microsoft Azure offers for developing modern solutions. You'll have a strong foundation on which to build your skills.
It is recommended to complete the topics in order, starting from the first one.
The European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) is a tool of the European Higher Education Area for making studies and courses more transparent. It helps students to move between countries and to have their academic qualifications and study periods abroad recognized. ECTS allows credits taken at one higher education institution to be counted towards a qualification studied for at another. ECTS credits represent learning based on defined learning outcomes and their associated workload. ECTS enhances the flexibility of study programmes for students. It also supports the planning, delivery and evaluation of higher education programmes. It is a central tool in the Bologna Process, which aims to make national education systems more comparable internationally. ECTS also helps make other documents, such as the Diploma Supplement, clearer and easier to use in different countries. ECTS has been adopted by most of the countries in the European Higher Education Area as the national credit system and is increasingly used elsewhere.
We are Devisioona, a Finnish IT consultancy company focused on the Microsoft ecosystem. Founded in 2015, the company now employs 30 people mostly in the Helsinki area. Our focus areas include custom software development, integration services and AI. In addition to our own projects built on these three core pillars, we act as advisors, planners, auditors and in other expert roles – a crucial addition to make sure we really know what customers need.
Azure is our chosen platform. We value Microsoft’s cloud for its openness, reliability and general acceptability – companies without an existing commitment to Microsoft infrastructure are very few, so our technology stack is by default a good match for most organizations.
From a developer perspective, Microsoft’s services offer an excellent mix of high-level productivity (PaaS/SaaS cloud, low code apps, broad application suites like Microsoft 365) as well as low-level controls required to satisfy regulatory requirements. In this wave of Copilots and AI, Azure has proven itself as a reliable tool, and both our experts and customers have been quite satisfied in how the platform investment is now paying off in terms of easy adoption of AI technologies.
